Without Knowing It, Compactors Were Being Emptied Far Too Often

When Salling Group tested BRA-IN Optimize in a pilot project, they were made aware of something unexpected. The compactors were emptied far more often than actually needed. Through data insights, they got a clear picture of the actual fill levels for the first time and could therefore see the inefficiencies that had previously been hidden.

Optimization Through Real-Time Data

With BRA-IN Optimize, Salling Group gained access to real-time data, allowing them to base emptying on actual fill levels rather than fixed intervals.

The result was a significantly more efficient operation, where the compactors are now only emptied when full. This has not only reduced unnecessary transports but also freed up time for the employees, who no longer need to monitor the fill level manually.

Measurable results

Data-Driven Savings and Less CO₂

The impact was clear: lower costs, smarter emptying based on real data, and a documented reduction in CO₂ emissions.

For Salling Group, this means saving money while also supporting their strategy to make a difference for society – with ESG results that can be measured and felt.

We chose to fully implement BRA-IN Optimize due to all of the positive results we saw when we conducted our pilot project. We were able to immediately reduce our costs by maximizing the fill levels, and there was a noticeable reduction in CO₂ as well. We see a perfect fit between the effects of Optimize and Salling Group’s strategy to make a difference for the society we are a part of.
