Reliable and low-maintenance baler solution

When Olson’s Ace Hardware acquired the retail store, they also took ownership of the vertical baler that was already installed in the building. However, as the old ”Muncher” baler increasingly required more maintenance and new spare parts, Dan Olson, the President, decided to purchase a new vertical baler.

Limited space called for a low profile baler

Dan Olson quickly realized that the number of baler manufacturers is very limited when it comes to supply of compact and low profile balers. Nevertheless, he found Bramidan Balers through some online research. In collaboration with SC Environmental, a local Chicago recycling specialist, Bramidan recommended the X25 Heavy Duty baler as an excellent low profile baler.

A reliable recycling solution for many years to come

With the new baler, Olson’s Ace Hardware can expect a reliable recycling solution for the next 10-15 years without significant repair or service costs. It is a baler that enables efficient and quick waste handling while simultaneously being very easy to operate. Currently, the installed X25 HD baler is able to produce a half mill-size cardboard bale with very high density, weighing around 600 lbs. Dan Olson expresses his satisfaction with his new vertical baler and the installation provided by SC Environmental: “The X25 HD is perfect for what we need. Also, I was very impressed with the way your crew was able to remove our old baler”.

Low noise level and increased safety for employees

Another element that led to the purchase of the Bramidan Low Profile baler was the extremely low noise level compared to the previous baler. Before, the customers shopping in the store were able to hear the baler when it was operating in the stockroom. Now, the compaction of cardboard is performed at a noise level around 60 decibel. There is no longer disturbing noise in the store area, and the employees at Olson’s Ace Hardware are even able to have a conversation while operating the baler.

Also, the X25 HD low profile baler is very safe since there are no open slots and no pinch points. Furthermore, for highest degree of safety, the bale is ejected with a safe two-hand ejection placed on the side of the machine.

The X25 HD is perfect for what we need. I was very impressed with the way your crew was able to remove our old baler”.
