Our Balers Help Indianapolis Recycle & Compact Waste

Commit to the environment with our waste management solutions. Simplify recycling with cutting-edge equipment for a greener city and sustainable future.

When you think of Indianapolis, you think of the Indy 500. While the city enjoys the thrill of a race, the people of Indianapolis are losing the race to rid itself of waste and recapture recoverable materials. The city consistently turns to Bramidan’s equipment to help manage waste.

Indianapolis Recycles Only 7% of Its Waste

Indianapolis is at risk of becoming the most wasteful big city in America. It already wastes the greatest portion of its recyclable trash among any of the 20 biggest cities, and many recycle far, far more.

How bad is it? In San Francisco, the top recycling city, 80 percent of the trash is reused. In Seattle, almost all residents participate in the program, reusing nearly 60 percent of the waste. The national average is 35 percent.

And in Indianapolis? Only 7 percent is recycled. The ramifications can be serious. Indy created a real problem for itself by counting on what has become a failed incineration program.

Bramidan Balers Provide Value and Reduce Costs
The good news is that Bramidan’s equipment could significantly help both the recycling and incinerator streams. Clean burning and highly separated cardboard is a key component in a good program. Our local partner, KCS Group, helps aid Indianapolis in its recycling efforts. Using a baler reduces the costs of separation while providing an end product with both burn and recycle values.
