Low profile baler makes bins superfluous

Louis Vuitton's HQ is located in the centre of the french capital, Paris. The waste deposit area is placed in a tight room filled with a variety of containers all loaded with cardboard, plastic and general waste. Most of this waste comes from the offices and workshops on the upper floors of the building. The corridor leading to the area is also very tight with a very low ceiling: "The 76 inch ceiling height was a big hindrance, but the Bramidan X25 HD Low Profile fit greatly." explains Mr. Marchado, Building Engineer at Louis Vuitton. The Bramidan X25 HD Low Profile fit perfectly with the space restraints while still producing a bale weight in excess of 450 lbs.

Slow and expensive process

Before the Bramidan baler, waste cardboard was carried into the basement by the employees. Loose material was folded and tossed into small bins that were collected daily. "This is an extremely slow and expensive process" tells Mr. Marchado, who also informs that Louis Vuitton were being charged in excess of 100 USD per collection - 80% of which is cardboard and soft plastic.

Cost effective solution

Today, the X25 HD Low Profile produces approximately a single 450 lbs OCC bale daily and a single plastic bale per week. This has reduced collection to once per week, saving Louis Vuitton over 1,700 USD monthly. Aside from the monetary savings, the employees no longer have to fold the boxes - and the baled material is much cleaner and takes up less space than the previous bins. The X25 HD Low Profile not only cut waste costs by 80%, but also increased the workflow and hygiene of the facility.

The corridor that leads to the waste deposit is only 1900 mm high. The Low Profile X25 HD will fit perfectly.
